Which Situations Count as Work Accidents?

According to Law No. 5510 and Supreme Court jurisprudence: accidents occurring at the workplace, accidents occurring due to work conducted by the employer, events occurring while being sent elsewhere on duty, accidents of nursing women during breastfeeding times, and traffic accidents during commute with employer-provided service vehicle are covered under work accidents.

Types of Work Accident Compensation

Material compensation rights: Temporary incapacity compensation, permanent incapacity (disability) compensation, treatment and caregiver expenses, loss of support compensation (in case of death). Moral compensation: Can be claimed for the worker and their relatives.

How is Work Accident Compensation Calculated?

The calculation takes into account the worker's income (dressed wage), fault rates, disability rate, worker's age and active working period, and the situation of those receiving support. Technical details such as deduction of income provided by SSI and PMF life tables determine the final amount of compensation.
